Expanding Pipe Plugs are typically used to temporarily block pipes while works are being carried out or during pressure testing of pipes. Alternatively they can be used to protect holes during fabrication works or painting. Pipework fabricators also use them for pipe purging during welding operations.
Available in a large range of sizes to suit pipe from 36mm to 475mm diameter. Steel plugs are specifically designed for heavier duty applications such as long immersion in water, for use at higher temperatures or for contact with acidic or alkaline environments for which the nylon, aluminium and inflatable plugs are unsuitable.
